A new chapter is going to be added in Bengal cricket. Bengal Pro T20 League is set to start, on June 11, the tournament will be live. The women’s leg of the League kicks off on June 12 at Salt Lake’s Jadavpur University campus grounds. Before the tournament started, Siliguri Strikers skipper Priyanka Bala opened up about her excitement.

Siliguri Strikers skipper Priyanka Bala expresses enthusiasm about leading the newly formed franchise. The Bengal Pro T20 League’s women’s leg, starting on June 12, promises an exciting display of cricket, with teams vying for victory under Priyanka Bala’s leadership.

She said, “I’m very excited to captain the Siliguri Strikes, it is a big opportunity for me since I’m getting a platform like the Bengal Pro T20 League. I’ve normally captained the teams but this is a big opportunity for me.”

Preparation for the League and Gaining Confidence from WPL:

Just a few days left before the tournament. Bengal is all excited to witness the thrilling tournament. The team is gearing up for the tournament, participating in practice matches to hone their skills and tactics, ensuring they are well-prepared for the upcoming challenges. She said, “ Preparation is going fine and to get into the scheme of things we are playing practice matches. Everything is going fine for us.”

Siliguri Strikers skipper Priyanka Bala participated in WPL for Mumbai Indians. The played gained confidence and experience from the big tournament. While talking about this, Priyanka said, “WPL gave me a lot of chances to improve my game. I learned a lot from overseas players while sharing the dressing room with them. How they practice, how they play, so I got to learn a lot.”

Later she added, “It is a big platform, we play for Bengal in domestic tournaments but to play in Bengal Pro T20 League it is a chance for new players to showcase their skills.”
