The World Cup 2019 is in full swing now. Indian team have just started their campaign with their first encounter against South Africa. Team India took on the Proteas at the Ageas Bowl, Hampshire. Just before they took to the ground, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished the entire team for the hunt for the ultimate trophy.

Narendra Modi took to Twitter to wish Virat Kohli and his team. He wrote, “ As #TeamIndia begins it’s #CWC19 journey today, best wishes to the entire Team.” The Indian cricket team is one of the favorites in this tournament. They are currently No.2 side on ICC ODI Rankings. Kohli is leading the team for the first time in the World Cup. Everyone in the cricket circuit expectedly is looking up to India’s journey.

The World Cup 2019 began on May 30 whereas India is playing their first match on June 5. This is because the players needed at least 15-day rest between IPL and World Cup. Accordingly, BCCI requested ICC to schedule India’s matches. Last World Cup saw India, led by MS Dhoni reach the semifinals. This year, with all eyes on the team, wishes are pouring from all of the corners.

Ahead of the tournament the central Defender of Indian Football Team, Sandesh Jhingan wished good luck to Virat and the boys. The goalkeeper Gurpreet Singh Sandhu also wished them luck. Moreover, German football star Thomas Muller also wished Virat Kohli, especially for the tournament. All these wishes, especially the one from the honorable Prime Minister will certainly boost the morale of Indian cricketers for better performance.
