Indian batsman Suresh Raina sounds confident about beating Pakistan in the ICC World Cup 2019. Raina thinks if India can have a good start, they can expect a good performance, especially against the arch-rivals in the tournament.

Raina thinks that at this point, the thought of playing Pakistan will not be in mind of many players. The reason is that they need to do well in the initial matches. He believes an overall good start in the tournament can help India maintaining their traditional records against Pakistan. But if India loses some of the initial matches, Pakistan match can be a hurdle for the team. So first three matches, according to him, is crucial. He is also confident about the Indian squad as he feels, that they are performing well enough in every department. Reaching semifinal, according to the senior Indian batsman should not be a problem for Virat Kohli and team.

The IPL king Suresh Raina seemed to have a lot of faith on Indian captain Virat Kohli, and World Cup winnings captain the veteran, Mahendra Singh Dhoni. These two will be key players for India’s hunt for World Cup 2019, to him. “Virat Kohli is the key player of this World Cup and apart from him Mahi bhai (MS Dhoni), I think his role will be crucial for this world cup he has done a lot for Indian cricket, and he is the most experienced player of the squad,” he said.

South Africa and England are the teams that have the potential to go big and give tough competition to India. If India can manage to win against these obstacles, the World Cup shouldn’t be a big deal for the men in blue. Whereas Raina was all praise for Jofra Archer, he chose England and India as his finalists for World Cup 2019.
