“I think the last ball of the game” Samson Blames Final Ball, Praises Opponent After Tough Loss

The 24th match of the tournament is an absolute thriller. Even after struggling in the initial stage, Gujarat Titans registered a remarkable win. The last ball of the second innings was dramatic. It was a hard day for the Royals on the field. After fighting hard, they faced hard luck. Their unbeaten streak was broken. After losing the game, Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson shared his feelings.

Samson on the Defeat:

Cricket enthusiasts enjoyed an outstanding match. On the 24th match, Rajasthan Royals locked horns with Rajasthan Royals. In the last innings, the Titans changed the game on the last ball. However, even after giving their best, the Rajasthan Royals faced hard luck and lost the match by 3 wickets.

While talking about the loss, Samson shared his thoughts. He said, “I think the last ball of the game (where was the game lost?). Very hard to speak at the moment. Hardest job in the tournament when a captain loses the game and has to tell where the game was lost. When the emotions come down I’ll be able to tell clearly. Have to give credit to the Gujarat Titans. That’s the beauty of this tournament. Will have to learn and move on.”

The ‘Royal’ Fight:

While batting in the first innings, Sanju Samson played an excellent innings. After losing the first two wickets quickly, Sanju Samson and Riyan Parag fought back. Sanju Samson scored an outstanding half-century. Till the last, he remained unbeaten on 68 runs in 38 balls. On the other hand, Riyan Parag scored his third half-century. He played a knock of 76 runs in 48 balls. Both the knocks played a crucial role in boosting their innings.

While talking about their performance, Samson said, “While I was batting I thought something around 180 would’ve been a fighting score. 196 was a winning score I thought. With no dew, our bowling lineup should’ve done it. It wasn’t easy to go hard at the start of the innings. 197 at Jaipur, without dew, we’ll take it any day.”

Samson admits it’s tough to lose as captain. Vows to learn from the close match against Gujarat Titans.
