In my head I am Ronaldo: Virat Kohli

Indian cricket team has a special connection with football. Every now and then, the cricketers can be seen playing football during practice sessions. The skipper Virat Kohli has a certain level of expertise in that sport as well. He is set to lead All Heart FC team against All Stars FC that will be captained by the Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan.

Kohli’s side will include the likes of MS Dhoni, Shikhar Dhawan and a few others. The match will be played on October 15 at the Andheri Sports Complex in Mumbai. The two sides had faced off last year as well and the game had ended in a 2-2 draw.

Virat Kohli recently talked about his footballing skills and mentioned that he is good in the most popular sport in the world as well. “Someone asked me what would be Fifa rating, I said 98. Not below that at all. I am good at shooting, my right foot is good, my left foot is good. As a footballer, I think I am a complete player. In my head I am Ronaldo,” he said in a video posted by Star Sports Football hosted by Jatin Sapru.

Manish Pandey is the best footballer

He further added that Dhoni is another good player in the team who can play forward but as per him, Manish Pandey is the best footballer in the side who plays in the midfield.

“I feel that best part of my game is sprinting and passing the bowl accurately to the guys who score goals. MS (Dhoni) I think would be right winger because he is pretty quick as well or maybe he can be centre-forward as well. His positioning is very well and he reads passes very well. Manish (Pandey) is the best footballer in the team. He is playing in the midfield position,” he added.

“Mohammad Shami was pretty good at goalkeeping when we played football with the team last time. But I am not sure who is going to take up the gloves this time around,” the 28-year-old said.
