Bangladesh Rests Shoriful and Mahedi, Zimbabwe Sees Changes with Faraz In for Injured Ngarava

The T20 World Cup is on the way. The nations already started preparing for the upcoming global event.  Before stepping into a big tournament, Bangladesh is facing Zimbabwe in the five-match T20 series. In that series, Bangladesh is showcasing its excellence in the series. Before stepping into the third game, both sides made some changes to bring balance. 

Changes in the T20 Squad:

After the two matches, Bangladesh and Zimbabwe met for the third match. Before stepping into the match, both sides made some interesting changes. As the T20 World Cup is coming close, workload management is a big concern. Keeping this in mind, they have rested Bowler Shoriful Islam and Mahedi Hasan. Tanzim Islam and Tanvir Islam came in their places. 

The changes happened in the Zimbabwe squad too. They faced a setback as Richard Ngarava sustained an injury and missed out on the game. Faraz Akram replaced him in the playing xi. Along with that, they have another boost. Wellington Masakadza is back after he faced concussion concerns, Ainsley Ndlovu also made an entry. 

Bangladesh’s Domination remained the same:

Bangladesh and Zimbabwe are locking horns in a five-match T20 series. Just before the T20 World Cup, it is a great platform to be prepared for the upcoming global tournament. Bangladesh stepped into the match with a 2-0 lead. After Zimbabwe won the toss, they opted to bowl first. While batting first, they gave a desired start. Towhis Hridoy scored an amazing half-century and played a knock of 57 runs in 38 balls. Jaker Ali scored 44 runs in 34 balls. They set a target of 166. 

While chasing the target, Zimbabwe batters struggled. Bangladesh bowlers were outstanding. Mohammad Saifuddin secured 3 wickets in 42 runs. Rishad Hossain secured 2 wickets in 38 runs. The other bowlers took one wicket each and stopped Zimbabwe in 156 runs. Bangladesh won the match by 9 runs and took the lead by 3-0.
