Australian batter Marnus Labuschagne picks his favorite batting partner from the fab-4

Australian batter Marnus Labuschagne has finally revealed who his favorite batter from the fab-4 is. The number one ranked test batter conducted an interactive Q&A session on Twitter on Monday and within minutes, fans flooded his social space with questions pertaining to Indian Players and the Aussie answered them diligently.

Who is Labuschagne’s favorite batting partner in fab-4?

A fan had asked Marnus, putting Steve Smith aside, who would be his go-to partner to bat with. The question read, “If you get a chance to bat with one of the fab 4 excluding smudge, who would that be?”. Marnus replied that since the duo would be able to add plenty of 2s, he would like his batting partner to be Virat Kohli.

“has to be @imVkohli, we’d run heaps of 2s”, Marnus replied to the fan’s question. During a Q&A session, Marnus Labuschagne also revealed that his favorite team in the Indian Premier League (IPL) is the Royal Challengers Bangalore. The announcement came as a surprise to some, as the franchise has never won the IPL trophy despite being one of the most popular teams in the competition.

Labuschagne’s choice of RCB as his favorite team is likely to endear him to their fans, who will be hoping that the Australian batsman can bring his own brand of explosive cricket to the team somewhere in the near future.

Thoughts on Rohit Sharma

Marnus Labuschagne also lauded Rohit Sharma and praised Indian opener Rohit Sharma for his smooth bat swing and called him a pleasure to watch. During the Q&A session, an Indian fan had asked Labuschagne to write one word for the Indian Captain Rohit Sharma. However, Labuschagne’s response was more than just one word.

Marnus wrote, “More than one word, but watching him bat is easy on the eye – smooth bat swing.”, which delighted the Indian fans who retweeted the Aussie’s response more than 250 times.

Suryakumar or Rizwan?

Labuschagne was caught in a dilemma when a fan asked who according to him was a better player in T20 cricket, Pakistani opener Mohammad Rizwan or Indian prodigy Suryakumar Yadav. Marnus was quick to react and chose Suryakumar over Rizwan.
