Yadav-Pandya save MI

After the big wicket of Rohit Sharma, Mumbai Indians lost two more top-order batsmen in the 10th over in Quinton de Kock and Ishan Kishan. No wonder, suddenly the defending champions were looking under pressure. Suryakumar Yadav was there holding onto one side as Krunal Pandya walked. However, today was the day of junior Pandya as Hardik Pandya walked in to add a valuable cameo after the dismissal of Krunal Pandya. Hardik Pandya scored unbeaten 30 off 19 balls whereas Suryakumar Yadav smashed a 47-ball 79*. His inning was decorated with 11 boundaries and two sixes.

But in the 19th over of the innings, Suryakumar Yadav faced a deadly Jofra Archer bouncer that was enough to make fans worried for him. However, the man in the middle was back in the zone immediately after a while. In fact, the way he replied, it surprised everyone.

Six followed by a bouncer

The fourth ball of 19th over during Mumbai Indians saw Jofra Archer delivering a bouncer to Suryakumar Yadav. The batsman was struck on the side of his helmet and he was seen removing the helmet immediately. The physio was there in no time to check Yadav and the latter obviously was looking a bit shaken. But he decided to continue.

The next ball of the over was a full delivery from Archer. Suryakumar Yadav did not mistake and went for a six. The shot even seemed to have impressed the Royals captain Steve Smith as well. During the interval between two innings, Hardik Pandya was asked about the same. Pandya praised Yadav for showing tremendous courage.
