The time has come for the most anticipated moment of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, with India taking on New Zealand in the first round of the semi-finals at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Fans are witnessing both these teams playing the semifinals after 4 years, with India playing the semis on its home soil after more than a decade. With the big match underway, team India won the toss and chose to bat first.

Several dignitaries gracing the occasion

Such an important match like that of a World Cup semi-final also attracts a lot of dignitaries with several prominent personalities gracing the big event with their presence. Along with Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, Football legend David Beckham and Bollywood Actor Ranbir Kapoor also marked their presence in the match. Actor Ranbir Kapoor is on a promotion campaign for his upcoming film “Animal” which is all set to release on December 1. Before the toss, the actor spoke with Harbhajan Singh, Irfan Pathan and a few more former cricketers on field, promoting his film and discussing some of the cricketers performance throughout the World Cup.

If a biopic was to be made on Kohli

On being asked about a biopic on India’s legendary cricketer Virat Kohli, Ranbir Kapoor remarked that he can certainly get started in his own biopic due to the fact that no other actor in the industry has the same personality as that of Virat Kohli and that his fitness dedication is unmatched. He stated “If a biopic is made on Virat Kohli, then he should play his role because he looks better than many actors and in terms of fitness as well.”

No doubt that there is no one in the industry who can match Virat Kohli in terms of looks and personality. There is a reason why the King boasts an uncountable number of fans, with them admiring him for his down to earth and compassionate nature.
