At the press conference, Dayal shared his thoughts on the intense final over. “I was quite nervous but my goal was to bowl good balls. Seniors were standing around me and I had their support. I was bowling the most important over of the match, the final over, and I think it was MS Dhoni’s wicket that was the turning point of the game,” he said.
Dayal also mentioned how he managed to stay focused despite the pressure. “When I got hit for the first six, I subconsciously went into that place (Rinku Singh over), but I told myself that I have done well since then and I focused on bowling good balls rather than watching the scoreboard,” he added.

Dayal praised the support from the RCB camp, particularly from captain Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli. “Faf du Plessis is an unbelievable captain. He is a proper athlete and he brings so much positivity to the field. When him and Virat Kohli are around, you don’t feel pressure,” he concluded.
Yash Dhayal said “When I was picked by RCB, i remember Virat bhaiya at the start of the season told me that ‘I can tell you the process (how to cope up with criticism) as I can correlate with you because these things have happened with me as well’ – it helped me a lot”.

RCB will now face either Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) or Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the eliminator of IPL 2024. With such high-stakes matches, the team will be relying on the same composure and strategic execution that Dayal displayed in the final over against CSK.
