Nosthush Kenjige, a proud American from Auburn, Alabama, was born on March 2, 1991, in his hometown. He marked his debut for the U.S. national team during the 2017 ICC World Cricket League Division Three held in Uganda in May 2017.
In January 2018, Nosthush Kenjige was selected to represent the United States in the 2017–18 Regional Super50 tournament in the West Indies. He made his List A debut against the Leeward Islands on January 31, 2018. Later, in August 2018, he was part of the U.S. squad for the 2018–19 ICC World Twenty20 Americas Qualifier in Morrisville, North Carolina, where he emerged as the top wicket-taker with twelve dismissals in six matches.
In February 2019, Nosthush Kenjige was selected for the United States’ T20I squad for the series against the United Arab Emirates, although he did not feature in the matches. These games marked the first T20I fixtures for the U.S. cricket team. Subsequently, in April 2019, he was included in the United States squad for the 2019 ICC World Cricket League Division Two tournament in Namibia. In March 2024, Kenjige was named in the U.S. squad for the T20I series against Canada, making his T20I debut on April 7, 2024, against Canada.
The Mumbai Indians franchise has expanded its presence into new leagues like Major League Cricket in the USA and the International League T20 in the UAE. Owned by the Ambani family, they have teams named MI New York and MI Emirates in these leagues. Nosthush Kenjige, a familiar name in both teams, contributed to MINY’s victory in the inaugural MLC by taking six wickets in six matches. In ILT20, he was part of the MI Emirates team that clinched the title, although he did not feature in any matches.
Despite his T20 league experience, Nosthush Kenjige had only participated in six T20Is for the USA before the T20 World Cup match against Pakistan. In those games, he managed to secure four wickets with a strike rate of 19.5.
