Virat Kohli and Kevin Pietersen have a great bond. They never miss a chance poking fun at each other and social media platforms have witnessed it a number of times.
Beard better than TikTok
Kohli knows Pietersen since his younger days. They have a great friendship which is often made public by both when they share good things about each other. Like, true friends, these two are great in pulling legs as well. Recently Kohli posted a throwback picture on his social media profile where he could be seen sporting a bread look. Former England captain commented on the same, “Shave your beard off”.
Kohli was quick to come up with an epic response and wrote, “@kp24 better than your TikTok videos”. In fact, this is not the first time that these two got involved in a quirky conversation on social media. Earlier Kohli had posted a video with the inputs regarding the style of his beard. Pietersen quickly replied, “Does it get rid of your grey there buddy?”
Dhoni’s first wicket?
These two had featured in an Instagram Live in April where both had a good laugh sharing an anecdote about India’s former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Pietersen had recalled how he could become Dhoni’s first wicket in the longer format but was given not out. Kohli tried to share Dhoni’s point of view when Pietersen asked him to not defend Captain Cool.
“A lot of people told me, I am Dhoni’s first test wicket. I referred it and I was given not out remember?” Pietersen said in the video sharing his experience with fans. Kohli recalled, “Yeah, I know. Look the thing is, MS has a point; it came up on the stump mics and nothing came on the hotspot so he has a point.” Pietersen was quick to stop Kohli saying, “Oh, you stop backing him.”
