Virat and Maxwell spotted playing Stone Paper Scissors during the DRS against Punjab Kings

In IPL 2023 Match 27, Royal Challengers Bangalore locked horns against the Punjab Kings at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium in Mohali on Thursday with a target of 175 runs. Virat Kohli scored 59 runs off 47 balls as RCB reached 174/4 in 20 overs. Faf du Plessis smashed 84 off 56 balls in the meanwhile. Arshdeep Singh, Nathan Ellis, and Harpreet Brar all recorded one wicket each for PBKS’ bowling unit. With six points from five games, including three victories and two losses, with Shikhar Dhawan as their captain, PBKS are presently ranked fifth in the IPL 2023 points table. After suffering back-to-back losses to Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Titans, Punjab turned things around in Match 21 by defeating Lucknow Super Giants by two wickets.

Faf du Plessis’ RCB, on the other hand, are floundering in eighth place with four points from five games, comprising two wins and three losses. The team fell to Chennai Super Kings in their previous game, Match 24, losing by eight runs. Both teams will be aiming for victory, and two points are essential to making the playoffs.

Before being outplayed by Wayne Parnell on 46, Prabhsimran Singh played a solid innings. Atharva Taide had made an early breakthrough thanks to Mohammed Siraj, and Matt Short was removed in the third over by Wanindu Hasaranga. On his subsequent over, Siraj eliminated Liam Livingstone.

Siraj was in the thick of things in the second innings. He urged the captain to go for the review on both occasions which turned out to be successful. In the first over, Siraj pinned Atharva Taide on the pads. When the umpire did not give the decision in favor of the RCB, Siraj prompted Virat to go for the review. During the review, Maxwell and Kohli were seen playing stone, paper and scissors. This became viral on social media. Kohli roared after the big screen showed three reds as Taide had to walk away.
