India’s 38 year old right arm wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik has recently opened up about being “100% ready” to play for India in the T20 world cup 2024.
Karthik, who also plays for the IPL franchise Royal challengers Bangalore is in great form this season. According to his IPL profile, Dinesh Karthik is one of the most experienced wicket-keeper batter in the scheme of things. He has led Kolkata Knight Riders to playoffs in 2018 and his side finished fifth in the points table in 2019.
Ahead of the 2022 edition of the league, Dinesh Karthik was released by KKR and was available for the IPL Mega Auction. He was bought by RCB for INR 5.5 crore and is now still playing for RCB.

Dinesh is a player for RCB as well at the Tamil Nadu team for domestic matches. The right arm player however is more than willing to participate in International matches, especially the T20 World Cup.
Karthik said “At this stage in my life, it would be the greatest feeling to represent India – I am 100% ready. I will do everything I can to be on that flight to the T20 WC”. (Source: PTI)

Well, while fans can’t unanimously decide whether DK should play or not, it is only time and BCCI that can tell us who gets to he in the playing 11.
