On Tuesday, Musheer Khan achieved a remarkable feat, becoming the youngest Mumbai batsman to score a century in a Ranji Trophy final. The 19-year-old, sibling to India Test player Sarfaraz Khan, showcased his talent as Mumbai aimed for their 42nd title. Surpassing Sachin Tendulkar’s record, which stood for nearly three decades, adds to the significance of Musheer’s achievement. His innings strengthened Mumbai’s position against Vidarbha, highlighting his potential as a rising star in Indian cricket.
Musheer Khan, starting Day 3 with his overnight score of 51, notched his second First-class century. This followed his maiden double hundred in the quarter-final against Baroda.
