Sun Risers Hyderabad’s captain Pat Cummins is a blessing for all the teams he takes leadership in. SRH is now set to play against Kolkata Knight Riders in the finals for IPL 2024.
As the captain of the Australian team in Test cricket, the cricketer led the team to a victory in the World Test Championship (WTC) by defeating India in the final and kept on doing wonders in the ODI World Cup as well, beating the same opposition.
However, Pat has had tough times in his life as well. Cummins was around three years old when he lost part of his finger. The middle finger of his right hand is the same length as his index finger. Despite this challenge, Cummins has become a legendary fast bowler.
Pat remembers his mother’s Words
Cummins is about to raise his standards to a new level. Sunrisers Hyderabad, who had been struggling in the Indian Premier League (IPL), have finally advanced to the final this season under Cummins’ leadership.
They are due to face the Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday in Chennai, and Cummins’ victory might cement his place as one of the game’s finest leaders ever.
Cummins lost his mother, Maria, in March 2023. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005 and battled it till the very end.
The Australian cricketer has recently recalled his mother’s last Words to him, and it seems like his mother knew exactly how talented her son is.
Pat Cummins said, “my mother told me that ‘Pat, go and take on the world. Someone’s going to go and do these wonderful things, it might as well be you”.
