As a result of the washout, SRH temporarily holds the third spot in the standings. However, their position could change if Chennai Super Kings secure a win against Royal Challengers Bangalore. The unpredictability extends to the CSK vs RCB match, which might also face weather interruptions. SunRisers’ qualification dashed the playoff hopes of Delhi and Lucknow, adding excitement to the upcoming RCB vs CSK clash in Bengaluru. The top-two finish will hinge on the outcome of the RR vs KKR match in Guwahati, regardless of SRH’s result against PBKS.
On the flip side, Gujarat Titans had a disappointing season. They were the winner of the IPL 2022 and the runner-up of the IPL 2023, ending the season in the eighth position. They lost their last two opportunities to be in the playoff race as their last two matches washed out due to rain. They are aiming for a great comeback in the upcoming season.
