Shane Watson Praises Virat Kohli’s Standout Performance on Sluggish Chinnaswamy Pitch

Fans experienced ‘Virat Kohli’ show again. Amidst the action, Virat Kohli emerges as the standout performer, delivering an unbeaten innings of 83 runs off 59 balls. His impressive display included four boundaries and four sixes, showcasing his mastery with the bat. With every shot, he ensured the team’s success and tried to put on a competitive total on the board. Kohli’s commanding presence on the field proved instrumental in guiding his team to success, solidifying his position as a key player in the match.

After witnessing the performance, Shane Watson made a big comment. He said, “It was not a normal Chinnaswamy pitch, it was slow. Virat Kohli put the pressure and held the innings together.” He earned praise once again for his masterclass.

Faf du Plessis departed early, but Kohli and Cameron Green’s strong partnership secured 61 runs in the powerplay. Kohli continued his fine form with a consecutive half-century this season. However, Green’s dismissal ended their partnership at 65 off 42 balls. Glenn Maxwell found form after two poor outings, benefiting from KKR’s dropped catches. Despite efforts from Harshit Rana and Andre Russell, KKR managed to restrict RCB’s runs in the death overs. RCB concluded their innings at 182/6, with Dinesh Karthik’s 20 runs off eight balls.

While batting in the second inning, KKR had a great start. Phill Salt and Sunil Narine gave a desired start. Their aggressive start gave the RCB bowlers a setback.  Phill Salt is batting on 28 runs in 16 balls. On the other hand, Sunil Narine is batting on 41 runs in 17 balls. In the sixth over, they are 75/-0.
