Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman Join Bangladesh T20I Squad for the Last Two Matches Against Zimbabwe

The T20 World Cup is set to raise the curtain in the next month. The global T20 competition will take place in the West Indies and the USA. All teams are doing last-time preparations. To prepare well, Bangladesh is facing Zimbabwe in a five-match T20 series. Three T20s are done and for the remaining two matches, Bangladesh is all set to make some changes. Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman have been added to the squad. 

Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur’s Inclusion in the Squad:

After two years wait, the T20 World Cup is coming back. The West Indies and the USA are jointly arranging the tournament. From June 2, the tournament is all set to be live on the stage. All teams are preparing hard to conquer in the tournament. For preparation, Bangladesh is facing Zimbabwe in a five-match T20 series on home soil. Before stepping into the last two T20s, they have made some notable changes. 

Bangladesh’s veteran bowler Mustafizur Rahman was busy playing IPL for Chennai Super Kings. But he left the IPL in the mid-way for his national duty. Bangladesh Cricket Board has given him rest for the first three matches and now he has been added to the squad for the last two matches. Another inclusion happened in the squad. Veteran Bangladeshi all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan also has been added to the squad. 

Bangladesh’s Exceptional Domination Over Zimbabwe:

Before the T20 World Cup, Bangladesh and Zimbabwe are locking horns in a five-match T20 series. Since the start of the series, Bangladesh is dominating Zimbabwe. In the first match, registered a big win of 8 wickets. In that match, Tanzid Hasan scored an unbeaten 67 runs. Taskin Ahmed registered an exceptional bowling spell of 3/14. 


The same domination repeated in the last two matches. In front of Bangladesh’s excellence, Zimbabwe struggled. In the second match, Bangladesh won the match by 6 wickets. In the third T20, Zimbabwe showcased their fighting spirit but again fell short and lost the match by 9 runs. With that dominance, Bangladesh is leading the series by a 3-0 margin. On 10th May, they will lock horns in the 4th T20 match.
