Sanju Samson Commends Ishan Kishan’s Talents and Highlights Healthy Competition Spirit in Cricket

The preparation for the big tournament is going on. Selectors are keeping an eye on players. In that situation, Rajasthan Royals skipper Sanju Samson praises Ishan Kishan. 

Sanju’s Remarks on Ishan:

The IPL 2024 is going on with all its thrills. Since the first match, fans have been enjoying consecutive enjoyment. Teams are hustling hard to be the best. Just after the IPL, the T20 World Cup is scheduled to start from June 1. Team India’s squad is yet to be announced. Before that, selectors are scrutinizing player’s performances. Players are fighting hard to find a place in the T20 World Cup. 

For the wicketkeeping position, there is tough competition. Sanju Samson, Ishan Kishan and KL Rahul are the strong contenders. In that situation, Sanju Sanson praised Ishan Kishan. Ahead of facing MI, Sanju Said, “I really respect Ishan, he is a wonderful player, a great keeper, good batter, great fielder as well – I have my own strength & weakness, definitely, I don’t compete with anyone – I just like to compete with myself & playing for the country and winning the game, competing with each other in the same team is not an healthy thing to have.”

Sanju’s impressive IPL performance for the Royals enhances his prospects for the World Cup. He has amassed 276 runs in seven matches at an average of 55.20 and a strike rate of 155.05, including three half-centuries. His consistent batting form strengthens his chances of selection for the upcoming tournament, highlighting his significant contribution to the team’s success in the IPL.

Rajasthan Royals vs Mumbai Indians Match:

On April 22, Rajasthan Royals is all set to face Mumbai Indians at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur. Both teams are standing in a very different position. After playing 7 matches in the league, they won 6 matches and faced defeat in 1. In those matches, they collected 12 points with a net run rate of +-0.677. On the other hand, Mumbai Indians have played 7 matches and secured three wins, and faced four defeats. In the points table, they are standing in the 7th position. 

They have faced each other in IPL 2024 before. In that match, Rajasthan Royals showcased excellent characters. While bowling first, Trent Boult and Yuzvendra Chahal took three wickets each. They dominated the MI batters. In the second innings, Riyan Parag played an unbeaten knock of 54 runs in 39 balls. He single-handedly secured the Royals win. They will try hard to repeat the same thing.
