Sanjay Manjrekar’s Plea to Wankhede Crowd ‘Behave’ as Boos Continue for Hardik Pandya

The Mumbai spectators are enjoying an electrical match at the iconic Wankhede Stadium. After two away games, Mumbai Indians is back in their den. After becoming Mumbai’s skipper, Hardik Pandya is playing at the Wankhede Stadium. In the previous games, he experienced some harsh criticism from the fans. Even he was booed by the spectators. During the toss, when the spectators were booing MI skipper, Sanjay Manjrekar requested fans to behave well

Sanjay Manjrekar’s on Continuous Booing:

Making his IPL debut with Mumbai in 2015, Hardik Pandya later captained Gujarat Titans in 2022. After a trade, he returned to Mumbai Indians, also taking on the role of skipper. Despite leading Gujarat Titans to two titles, fans have expressed disapproval by booing him in Mumbai Indians’ initial matches in Ahmedabad and Hyderabad, where Rohit Sharma played solely as a batter.

Initially, Mumbai Indians faced intensified booing directed at their skipper, Hardik Pandya. During the toss introduction by Manjrekar, the crowd’s reaction prompted him to urge supporters to applaud Hardik instead. This display of disapproval indicates fans’ dissatisfaction with Hardik’s captaincy, a sentiment echoed by the jeers at the stadium.

Before starting the toss, Manjrekar said, “We’re all set for the toss here. Got the two captains with me – Hardik Pandya, the captain of Mumbai Indians. Big round of applause, ladies and gentlemen.” After that, the crowd started booing the MI skipper. Then he said, “Behave,”. That moment caught the attention.
