Sanjay Manjrekar talks about the reason why Ajinkya Rahane has been successful in this edition of the TATA IPL 2023. Manjrekar pointed out certain things due to which the batter is successful in this IPL.
It wouldn’t be an understatement to say that Chennai Super Kings hitter Ajinkya Rahane has never looked in as excellent of form in this format prior to taking into account his first three Indian Premier League 2023 innings.

He said that the technique and batting style of Ajinkya Rahane allows him to play free-flowing strokes. Manjrekar further added that someone like Pujara cannot excel in this format because the technical does not allow him to. Rahane’s wrists can generate power while hitting strokes and hence can score quickly in the shortest format.
Manjrekar added that the number at which Rahane is batting is very crucial. He has batted extremely well against pace but just like Virat Kohli, he has struggled against pacers. He further said that Rahane is batting this season the way he used to bat in the initial seasons of the IPL.
Ajinkya Rahane has played T20 cricket for more than 16 years and has played for six different IPL franchises during his career. However, the right-handed batter appears to be in a completely different league now that he is wearing the Yellow shirt.
Rahane’s demeanor, body language, role clarity, optimistic outlook, and all other characteristics of a batter have shown signs of being in sync with one another in addition to his form. Rahane, who is currently playing in his second IPL season after being released from the national side, appears completely transformed in terms of his T20 career.

Rahane has scored 588 runs at an average of 18.37 and a strike rate of 118.78 in 34 T20 innings at No. 3, including four half-centuries.
