Sameer Rizvi talks about role of MS Dhoni and learnings from him

In a recent development, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batter Sameer Rizvi expressed his desire to emulate the success of former CSK captain MS Dhoni. Rizvi, who started his IPL career with a six against Gujarat Titans’ star spinner Rashid Khan, revealed that he is currently working on suggestions given by Dhoni to improve his game.

“I have asked a couple of questions to Dhoni bhaiya – he suggested some things, since then my aim has been to execute those learnings in the field – I can feel that I am improving with more practice, if I get an opportunity, I wish to replicate the success of Dhoni Bhaiya,” said Rizvi.

Rizvi, who shared a photo with MS Dhoni on his Instagram, captioned, “Soaking in all the wisdom from the GOAT. From watching him conjure magic on the TV screen to sharing the dressing room with him, a dream come true indeed!”, was bought by CSK for a whopping Rs. 8.4 crore based on his stellar performance in domestic cricket. He was among the highest run-getters in the UP T20 League held in August and September last year.

CSK, the defending champions, are currently third in the points table, having won four out of their six matches in the ongoing IPL season. They are scheduled to face KL Rahul-led Lucknow Super Giants in their next match.
