Rohit Sharma Hints at Rishabh Pant’s Batting Position Ahead of India-Pakistan Match

Before the crucial match against Pakistan, there was much discussion about Pant’s batting position. As the team gears up for the blockbuster clash, Indian captain Rohit Sharma nearly confirmed that the wicketkeeper-batsman will continue to bat at number three. Rohit said, “I had to look at Rishabh in the few games in IPL to make up my mind on where he will bat in the World Cup.”

It is just a few hours left for the biggest tournament. But Pakistan faced a tragic defeat against the USA in their last match. After that, a lot of speculations are going over their form. Last time when both teams locked horns in this tournament, India registered a thrilling over them. And they will try to repeat the same.

Statistically, India is in a little better position compared with Pakistan. On this matter, Rohit Sharma said, “Nothing changes. We have played them seven months back in the Asia Cup and (ODI) World Cup. But T20 is unpredictable. That’s what T20 cricket is all about.”

Later he added, “Last World Cup, Pakistan lost to Zimbabwe but ended up playing the final. On your day anyone can beat anyone.”
