The ‘babysitter’ label originated during India’s tour of Australia in 2019 when Paine humorously asked Pant if he could babysit for him and his wife. This friendly exchange between the two players has since evolved into a light-hearted and endearing nickname for Pant. Pant’s Mighty Comeback:
In December 2022, Rishabh Pant met a life-threatening car accident which kept him out of cricket for almost a year. For that injury, he missed the entire IPL 2023. After recovering from the injury, he is back leading Delhi Capital in this season. He gave an amazing start. Against Chennai Super Kings, he completed his first half-century after his comeback. He played a knock of 51 runs in 32 balls with an exciting strike rate of 159.38.
In the last match, Delhi Capitals showcased their characters. The bowlers did an amazing job. They restricted Gujarat Titans to just 89 runs. They registered a 6-wicket win. After the win, they jumped into the 6th position of the tournament. On April 20, they will face Sunrisers Hyderabad. That match will be crucial to securing a safe place in the points table.   Â
