After KKR emerged victorious over RCB, Rinku Singh touched the feet of Virat Kohli, the captain of the opposing team, as a mark of respect for everything the modern-day great has done for the nation. This gesture won the hearts of many fans and showcased Rinku’s humility and sportsmanship.

Prior to Rinku Singh’s touching gesture towards Virat Kohli, the RCB captain had already reserved high praise for the KKR batsman. In a previous match against the Gujarat Titans, Rinku had played a crucial role in helping his team secure an unlikely victory over the defending champions by hitting five consecutive sixes. Kohli was among those who applauded Rinku’s performance, calling it “amazing” and praising the left-handed batsman for his composure and ability to handle pressure. 

“What the youngsters are doing today is amazing to see. Look at this IPL, I couldn’t even think of doing stuff what these young guys are doing. Just the other night, Rinku Singh hits 5 Sixes in last 5 balls which is amazing & never happened something like that. Coming in an hitting five sixes in a row to win a match, I mean what level is this? So that transition is happening is great. It is great to see such youngsters coming up.”, Kohli had said a few days ago while speaking to Jio Cinema.

Coming in to bat at the 18th over, Rinku took everyone by surprise by smashing RCB and India pacer Mohammed Siraj for 6, 4, 4 in three consecutive balls. 

This display of aggressive batting helped KKR post a formidable total of 200/5 in 20 overs. Despite facing pressure in the late stages of the innings, Rinku remained composed and played some crucial shots to help his team achieve a competitive total.
