Ravindra Jadeja’s Incredible Catch Removes Lucknow Captain KL Rahul in 18th Over

The Lucknow vs. Chennai match is moving forward to the next level. After controlling the Chennai Super Kings in the first innings, they showcased their batting prowess in the second innings. was doing well when Ravindra Jadeja took a wonderful catch while dismissing him. That grabbed all the limelight. 

Jadeja’s Excellent Catch:

On the 34th match of the tournament, Lucknow Super Giants locked horns with Chennai Super Kings at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. Before stepping into the match, they faced setbacks in the previous two matches. They were all boosted up. While batting in the second innings, LSG had a desired start. 

After getting out scoring low runs, KL Rahul bounced back in the match. He completed his half-century and kept pushing the team’s innings. In the 18th over, Matheesha Pathirana came to bowl and the Lucknow skipper was on strike. Jadeja made an incredible catch that would surprise anyone. The ball was hit hard toward him at point, but he plucked it out of the air with his left hand. The third umpire checked if Jadeja held onto the ball after falling to the ground. Though there was a blind spot in the footage, the umpire confirmed Jadeja made the catch cleanly. This amazing play removed Rahul, who was on 82 off 53 balls and gave Pathirana his first wicket of the game.

LSG’s Amazing Win:

After facing two consecutive defeats, Lucknow faced Chennai in their home ground. In that match, Lucknow showcased amazing dominance. After giving tough competition with the ball, they conquered with the bat as well. Lucknow Super Giants chose to bowl first after winning the toss. Mohsin Khan had an early success, dismissing Rachin Ravindra in the second over. CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad was out for 17 runs thanks to Yash Thakur. Ajiyanka Rahane and Shivam Dube were also dismissed by Krunal Pandya and Marcus Stoinis, respectively. Despite their efforts, Ravindra Jadeja stood strong. Krunal Pandya took 2 wickets, while Mohsin Khan, Yash Thakur, Ravi Bishnoi, and Marcus Stoinis took 1 each, restricting CSK to 176 runs.

The second innings showcased pure batting brilliance. KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock gave an excellent start. De Kock scored a half-century and played a knock of 54 runs in 43 balls. KL Rahul was brilliant. He played a knock of 82 runs in 53 balls. That knock set the base of the win. Nicholas Pooran played an unbeaten knock of 23 runs in 12 balls. LSG defeated CSK by 8 wickets.
