The ball was hit hard toward him at point, but he plucked it out of the air with his left hand. The third umpire checked if Jadeja held onto the ball after falling to the ground. Though there was a blind spot in the footage, the umpire confirmed Jadeja made the catch cleanly. This amazing play removed Rahul, who was on 82 off 53 balls and gave Pathirana his first wicket of the game.

After facing two consecutive defeats, Lucknow faced Chennai in their home ground. In that match, Lucknow showcased amazing dominance. After giving tough competition with the ball, they conquered with the bat as well. Lucknow Super Giants chose to bowl first after winning the toss. Mohsin Khan had an early success, dismissing Rachin Ravindra in the second over. CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad was out for 17 runs thanks to Yash Thakur.
