Quinton de Kock Dismissed On The First Ball In South Africa vs Netherlands For The T20 World Cup 2024

Match 16 for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 is being played between South Africa and the Netherlands at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York.Ā

Both teams belong to the Group D in the men’s T20 World Cup, which comprises a total 20 teams competing this year to win the glorified trophy.

South Africa won the toss and opted to bowl first, and Netherlands batted impressively and scored 103/9 and set the goal for SA to chase later in the second innings.

Quinton de Kock knocked off on the first ball

In an unfortunate event, the South African men lost their first wicket on the very first ball of the second innings today.

South African veteran Quinton de Kock lost his wicket while attempting a single as his batting partner miscalculated his move.

There was quite a lot  of indecision on Reeza Hendrick’s part about going for the single. The batsman was seen deciding to make a run for a single before ditching the plan.

Meanwhile, de Kock was more than halfway down the pitch and there was no way back for him as van Meekeren returned the throw at the bowler’s end. de Kock got dismissed.
