From Kings XI Punjab, Mohammed Shami yet again took a couple of wickets but he bowled at an economy of 11.25 today. Murugan Ashwin was the highlight from the KXIP unit in this match against Royal Challengers Bangalore as he took two wickets conceding only 23 runs in his four overs. Arshdeep Singh and Chris Jordan also had one scalp each.
The Bangalore bowlers hardly had any impact today on KXIP batters as they could manage to pick up only one wicket during the KXIP chase. The top three KXIP batsmen scored big runs, focused on building partnerships, and helped the side chase down the target successfully. Kings XI Punjab lost only two wickets including one run-out. Yuzvendra Chahal added one wicket to his tally, however, in three overs Chahal gave away 35 important runs.
Mohammed Shami is at the 2nd spot in the Purple Cap table currently followed by Chahal at the 4th.
