Purple Cap Holder of IPL 2020: Updated After KXIP vs CSK Match 18

It was a collective effort from Mumbai Indians that saw them snatching a commendable victory from Sunrisers Hyderabad in the day-game. At first Mumbai Indians set a target above 200 which was defended very well by the bowlers. Trent Boult and James Pattinson once again did it for the side with the new ball. The duo toom two wickets each conceding 28 (Boult) and 29 (Pattinson) runs. No wonder both of them are featuring in the top ten list of most wickets. Jasprit Bumrah was expensive but took two wickets as well to move up to few spots in the Purple Cap table. But the bowler of the fixture was Rashid Khan from Sunrisers Hyderabad. Khan conceded runs at an economy of just 5.50 taking one wicket in his four overs. Amid the MI run-fest what he did for his team was spectacular. Rashid Khan is current ranked on 10th.

There was no success for Kings XI Punjab in the second game of the day against Chennai Super Kings. However, for Chennai Super Kings Deepak Chahar once again delivered a good spell to finish the game with 3-0-17-0. Shardul Thakur took a couple of wickets but was pretty expensive. Piyush Chawla and Ravindra Jadeja took one wicket each and the former even after being the most expensive bowler of the side today is the only CSK representative in the following table.
