With so many captains being changed this IPL season, one new statement has been floating around on some news portals. There have been articles that quote Preity Zinta saying she “will bet my life to get Rohit Sharma As captain”.
Recently, Preity took to X after these fake statements were getting too much attention. Preity further confirmed that she “is a big fan of him (Rohit)” but has never discussed him in any interview.
The former bollywood actress had to ultimately pen down a note to clear all rumors, in case anyone believed them to be true.
Her Tweet read: “All these articles are completely fake & baseless. I hold Rohit Sharma in very high regard & am a big fan of his, but I have NEVER DISCUSSED him in any interview nor made this STATEMENT ! I also have a lot of respect for Shikhar Dhawan & he being currently injured , makes these articles appear in very poor taste. These articles are a perfect example of how misinformation is picked up without any verification & circulated online. I humbly request all Media to refrain from circulating this & embarrassing all concerned parties All I want to say is that we have a great team currently & our only focus is to win games & make the most out of IPL 2024 Thank you.”

The Punjab Kings have an assortment of young, dynamic and definitely amazing players this season. With newcomers like Ashutosh Singh who has been showing his true worth in the tournament, the franchise has made some really good moves.
