Yesterday’s qualifier 2 match of the IPL 2024 season was a thrilling face off between the Sun Risers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals. While RR won the toss, it was SRH who won the match and their fans’ hearts.
SRH has definitely outshined all their opponents in the season with their spectacular batting order breaking many records. Under the captaincy of Pat Cummins, the team has flourished and has gained admiration of many.

SunRisers Hyderabad ended the league phase in second position, but then lost to KKR in Qualifier 1. In the Qualifier 2 match against Rajasthan Royals, they defeated their opponents by 36 runs, and will face KKR in the final on Sunday.
On Cummins’ impact, Aussie legend Shane Watson said, “The confidence that having Pat Cummins as a leader will bring into the SRH team is knowing that he has captained under pressure in the biggest sports event in cricket, in the ODI World Cup just recently last year. So having that confidence in your leader to know, under pressure, he’s gonna say the right things and know just the nuances that he will, um, be really across in such a high-pressure situation. So, Pat Cummins certainly is good to be a really important person in the lead up to the game on Sunday, but also in the melting pot of a final as well.”
SRH vs KKR in finals
The Cummins-led team has fought and won a chance to compete in the IPL finals alongside Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday, 26 May.
The match is scheduled in the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, and ensures to be an entertainer.
KKR had defeated SRH in the qualifier 1 of this season. In their last 5 matches, KKR has won 5 fixtures while SRH has won just 1 match.
