SunRisers Hyderabad purchased Australian skipper Pat Cummins with a whopping amount of 20.5 crore. Initially, this was registered as the highest purchase in the history of the IPL.
That record was broken immediately. Mitchell Starc was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders with a massive amount of 24.75 crore. He broke Cummin’s record. The bid has gone hard between Kolkata Knight Riders and Gujarat Titans. But KKr won the final bid and named Starc in the squad.

After seeing the biggest purchase, AB de Villiers is stunned. He shared his feelings about that. He said, “Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc both are incredible players, but really for that price? It just shows you the demand. There was demand for fast bowlers in this year’s auction and when the demand goes up, the price goes up.”
