Pakistan Skipper Babar Azam Ends All Speculations on His Captaincy Question Ahead of the Big Match

The world of cricket is all set to commence history’s most stimulating match, that of long time rivals India and Pakistan. The big marquee clash will be played at the world’s largest stadium, the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Fans are more than excited as they have gathered around the stadium cheering for their favourite teams 24-hours prior to the match day. This is not the only time the two rival sides are facing each other, prior to the match that is scheduled today, both of them faced each other in Asia Cup 2023 too, that too for two times where the Men in Green lost against the Men in Blue.

Criticism faced by Pakistan for its play

Team Pakistan faced a lot of criticism for its performance against India. The whole team was exposed to scrutiny ahead of their conduct in the Asia Cup matches with their rivals. Now it’s time for the third match that has come with a lot of pressure on Pakistan’s side. A meeting between PCB Chief Zaka Ashraf, former Pakistani cricketers discussed at length about Babar Azam’s captaincy issue. Actually, the main thing that has put pressure on the team’s side is its history of losing streaks against India and now that they have already lost twice earlier this month against India, the pressure is at top of the team.

Babar’s opinion

Team Pakistan current skipper Babar Azam is all chilled up on his captaincy’s speculations. As a captain, he is well aware of the fact that a captain has to bear the consequences of his team’s defeat. Babar Azam confirmed that he just wants to go with the flow and for that he will play with the best of his abilities and leave the outcome to the rest.

While ending all the feud over his captaincy remarks, Babar in a pre match conference said “Mai iss cheez par kabhi vo nahi karta ki iss match ki vajah se meri kaptaani chali jayegi. Allah ne mere liye jitna likha hai utna mai karunga. Jitna mera Allah par believe hai, utni mujhe milegi. Mujhe ek match ki vajah se kaptaani mili nahi hai, ya ek match ki vajah se meri jayegi nahi (I will achieve whatever God has decided for me. I didn’t get captaincy because of one matchmatch, and I won’t lose it because of one either.”
