Pakistan played a four-match T20 series against England. That was a disaster for them and then they headed to the T20 World Cup and faced the USA as their first competitor. 

But one specific moment caught the eye. In the second innings, the USA was batting. The moment between Babar Azam and Mohammad Amir happened in the 15th over when Aaron Jones and Nitish Kumar was batting. The stump mic recorded the moment. At that moment, Mohammad Amir advised skipper Babar Azam not to opt for a spinner as the batters played the spin well. But Babar Azam arrogantly ignored the veteran bowler and continued with his decision. 

But his decision backfired the team. He bought Shadab Khan in the next over who is a spinner. The USA batters used this opportunity and hit some big shots. That made Pakistan’s condition even more critical. Babar’s rude behavior towards his teammate sparked controversy. 

Pakistan’s Devastating Performance:

In an interesting clash, Pakistan met USA and ended up being on the losing side. While batting first, Mohammad Rizwan was dismissed on 9 runs. Usman Khan scored only 3 runs and walked away. Fakhar Zaman was dismissed in 11 runs in 7 balls. Babar Azam and Shadab Khan played responsible knocks. Babar scored 44 runs in 43 balls. Shadab Khan scored 40 runs in 25 balls. They scored 159/7 in 20 overs.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s bowling struggled to make an impact. Naseem Shah took the initial wicket, removing Steven Taylor. Despite efforts from Monak Patel and Andries Gous, Haris Rauf claimed Gous’ wicket, while Mohammad Amir dismissed Monak Patel. However, the game progressed to a super over, where the USA scored 18/1. To win the match, Pakistan need to score 19. But Pakistan ended up scoring only 13 runs and faced a defeat of 5 runs.
