October’s Player of the Month Contenders Unveiled: Jasprit, de Kock and Rachin Ravindra on the Race

October was a month of celebration along with a lot of thrills. Four years of wait for all cricket enthusiasts ended this month. The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 started from October 5. That is the biggest tournament of cricket. All teams are locking horns with each other with all their strength. Same scenario for the players also. They are busy showcasing their talent. Within this, ICC revealed contenders for the Player of the Month awards for October. There are three big names on the list. Jasprit Bumrah, Quinton de Kock, and Rachin Ravindra are the three names on the list.

A Dream Form for These Three:

The World Cup stage is a dream come true stage for many. It is the ultimate place where everyone wants to showcase their talent. This was a dream World Cup edition for India. After playing eight games, they didn’t face any loss and remained the only unbeaten team in the World Cup. Jasprit Bumrah is one of the keys to success. He bowled extremely well in all the matches. That helped India to be unbeaten in the tournament. 

De Kock is playing his last edition of the World Cup. After this tournament, he will be saying goodbye to the ODI format. Before that, he was conquering the World Cup stage. He has turned into the powerhouse of scoring runs. On the other hand, young Kiwi all-rounder Rachin Ravindra is another contender for the ICC Player of the Month. He has scored two centuries till now.

Bumrah’s Dream Form:

Jasprit Bumrah is one of the best bowlers in India, there is no doubt about it. He is performing well right from the first match of the tournament. Against Australia, he picked up 2 wickets in 35 runs. He got the first success for India in that match. He showed his bowling brilliance against Australia. He picked up 4 wickets in 39 runs. That was a sensational performance. 

Against Pakistan, he shined again. He bowled 7 overs in which 1 over was maiden. He took 2 wickets in 19 runs. His economy rate was 2.71. Against England, he was again outstanding. He picked up 3 crucial wickets in 32 runs. That broke the base of the English batting lineup. He is a strong competitor for the other two contenders.

De Kock’s Excellence:

Quinton de Kock is a great batter of South Africa. He has years of experience playing in the tournament. He showed his brilliance right from the first match. He scored an excellent century against Sri Lanka. He scored 100 runs in 84 balls. In the very next match, de Kock scored another magnificent century. He played a knock of 109 runs in 106 balls. 

Against Bangladesh, Quinton de Kock was unstoppable. He played a knock of 174 runs in 140 balls. He smashed 15 boundaries and 7 over-boundaries in that innings. That helped South Africa to win another match. He is conquering in his last World Cup.

Rachin Ravindra, the Young Gun:

Rachin Ravindra is an exceptional young player. He made his World Cup debut this year and started conquering right from the first match. In the Inaugural match of the World Cup, New Zealand met England. In that match, Rachin scored an unbeaten century. He played a knock of 123 runs in 96 balls with 11 boundaries and 5 over-boundaries. That exceptional knock helped the Kiwis to register their first win in the World Cup. 

He scored another century against Australia. That was a sensational knock for him. Rachin played a knock of 116 runs in 89 balls. He smashed 9 boundaries and 5 over-boundaries. That was a responsible knock. In that match, after losing two wickets early, Rachin played a responsible innings. That helped New Zealand to reach into the fighting total.
