On December 17, he made his ODI debut for South Africa. On December 26, in the first Test match against India, Burger made his Test debut.
That is a unique record. This youngster made his debut across all the formats just in 13 days. Peter Ingram also made international debuts in 13 days. Indian bowler Mukesh Kumar made his debut in 15 days and standing in the third position.
Burger’s International performance:
After making its debut in the third T20 match against India. In the last over of the match, he bowled exceptionally well. In the last over, he picked up Suryakumar Yadav and Rinku Singh. He made his international debut memorable by picking up 2 wickets in 64 runs.
On December 17, he made his ODI debut. In the first match, he didn’t get any wickets. In the second match, he was excellent. He picked up three wickets in 30 runs. In that match, he picked up Indian batters like Ruturaj Gaikwad, Tilak Verma, and KL Rahul. That was an interesting match.
Recently, on December 26, he made his Test debut. In his debut match, Nandre Burger performed exceptionally well. India batted first in the match. In the first innings, Burger picked up three wickets in 50 runs. On the first day, he picked up Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill. after that, KL Rahul was going strong. In the 65th over, he bowled KL Rahul when he was in 101 runs. That was a precious wicket for South Africa.
