“MSD Has Got The Intimidation On Opposition Bowlers” KL Rahul After Much Needed Win For LSG

After losing two matches, all LSG needed was a win for revival back into the game. Today’s match between Lucknow Super Giants and Chennai Super Kings turned out in favour of the Lucknow team. As the players breezed through Bowling techniques, Fielding and batting prowess, they won the match by 8 wickets.

This win, being a pretty big one gifted LSG with 2 more points ascending them to number 5 on the points table.

Apart from the end of CSK’s batting, when Jadeja and MSD came to ensure the score was close to a 180, the team was behind the 8-ball.

LSG Captain and Skipper KL Rahul bagged the POTM title after his batting led the new team to a much needed victory against the much seasoned CSK.

“I deploy my Bowlers based on the wicket” -Rahul

Following their win, while the team was in celebrations, Rahul addressed the audience at his post match statements. He shared how most of his decisions seem to be the right ones after winning a match. He also mentioned how he deploys the team’s Bowlers depending on who’s batting. Seems like the captain’s strategy worked as he led his team to win.

“Feels good at the end of the day. When you win, most decisions feel right. We were committed to our plans. Really happy with that. Depends on the wicket, I deploy my bowlers. We tried to mix it around. The bowlers executed really well. The team is sticking to the plans.”

Dhoni and his Intimidation On Opposition Bowlers.

While LSG is a relatively newer team, CSK fans are wisely spread and “go berserk” as a crowd. It was not easy for the Lucknow bowlers to not get pressured, especially when MS Dhoni, the player famous for being a “good finisher” walked in to bat.

“Halfway stage, I would have been happy with 160. The wicket was slow and a bit of grip. MSD walked in and the pressure got to the bowlers. He has had the intimidation on opposition bowlers. Our young bowlers were put under pressure with the crowd going berserk as well. 15-20 runs extra they got. I have been trying to assess the situation. It came off today. I knew the CSK spinners will put the pressure on. I picked my bowlers and it came off. Quinton batted well as well. Made life easy for both. Different ball game playing in Chennai. Was playing in front of mini Chennai crowd. We are a young team and happy to play in front of such a crowd.” added Rahul.
