In a survey conducted by YouGov, more than 42,000 people from 41 countries were taken into consideration when the list of most admired men and women were compiled from people across the globe. Bill Gates and Michelle Obama topped the list for men and women category respectively worldwide.

MS Dhoni is just behind PM Narendra Modi

In India Prime Minister Narendra Modi and boxer Mary Kom end as the leader in respective categories in India. PM Modi is followed by the legendary cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni in the second position.

Dhoni leads the way

In the list of sportspersons, the men’s category is led by Dhoni who bagged an admiration score of 8.58%, followed by Sachin Tendulkar (5.81%), Virat Kohli (4.46%), Cristiano Ronaldo (2.95%), Lionel Messi (2.32%).

This clearly suggests why Dhoni’s retirement speculations make headlines every day. This also establishes the fact that fans love Dhoni too much to let him go. Dhoni who was last seen in 2019 World Cup has taken an extended leave up to November 2019. In all likelihood, he will take a final call on his cricket career only after the leave ends. In the overall list of most admired sporting celebrity, Ronaldo is leading the chart with his arch-rival Lionel Messi following him next. The Portuguese star is ranked at No. 7 in the overall list while the Argentine is slotted in at No. 9.
