Mohammad Hafeez Is Certain Of Pakistan To Show Off Better Results In The Upcoming Test Match Series Against Australia

The Pakistani team is all set to kick off a Test series against 2023 World Cup champions Australia on the latter’s home ground. The series which will commence from December 14 will be a 3-match Test series and will conclude around December 7. Despite terrible setbacks and records against Australia, especially in the Test matches, the new director and acting Coach of the Pakistan Cricket Team is certain about his team’s fate to show up brilliant results against Aussies this time.

An exciting challenge ahead

Mohammad Hafeez while speaking about the upcoming series against Australia, reckoned that the team needs to adopt an aggressive approach which will surely bring out the best within them.

“When there is excitement in your challenge, when there is a nothing-to-lose opportunity and a lot to gain, you’re winning. As a team, our goal is not what history says but what we can go out there and achieve. The mindset is very clear – this is a very exciting challenge ahead of us and, together, we can bring better results. I can’t answer for past results, but from here on you will see inshallah better results for Pakistan”, he remarked.

Trusting the new bowling unit

Hafeez believes that the new bowling unit has the needed potential and ability to come up brilliantly in the upcoming game and it doesn’t matter if the team lacks an official head coach or a bowling coach. Despite a continuous losing streak on Australia’s homeground, Hafeez is not at all sceptical about the team coming strong effectively.

He quoted “In this team, the bowling unit has good bowlers, the best ones in the Pakistani system have been selected. The bowling line-up that we have, I have a very strong gut feeling that they can give winning performances there. When you take 20 wickets, that is when you have a chance of winning. I think our bowling team is capable of doing that.”
