Miraj Group Unveils Ambitious Plans for 50,000-Seat International Cricket Stadium in Udaipur

Miraj Group has announced plans to build a 50,000-seat international cricket stadium in Udaipur, with an estimated investment of Rs. 200 crore. The stadium, to be built at Kanpur Kheda, aims to elevate Udaipur’s status as a hub for cricketing events. The Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) has confirmed that preparations for construction will begin soon. This will happen following ongoing communication with the Miraj Group.

Rajasthan’s second largest stadium

Once completed, the Udaipur International Cricket Stadium will become the state’s second-largest stadium. This will surpass the recently inaugurated floodlit cricket ground at Shikarbadi. The facility is expected to host international-level matches, enhancing Udaipur’s reputation as a cricketing destination.

The stadium’s design adheres to international standards. It features 12 pitches, including one composed of black soil similar to the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad. Additionally, the facility boasts separate nets with eight wickets, facilitating rigorous player practice sessions.

Initiative of the member of Royal Family of Mewar

Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, a former member of the royal family of Mewar and two-time president of the Udaipur District Cricket Association, has been instrumental in driving this initiative forward. With a vision to nurture local cricket talent, Dr. Mewar emphasized the importance of providing a platform for players from Lake City to showcase their skills on the global stage.

The Udaipur stadium promises to be a game-changer for cricket lovers, offering a world-class venue for domestic and international competitions.
