Team India faced a heartbreaking World Cup defeat last year, Team India named a mighty squad ahead of the T20 World Cup. Rohit Sharma is ready to lead the team once again. Virat Kohli has come back to the team. Along with that, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, and Kuldeep Yadav will shine the bowling department. Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shivam Dube, and others will strengthen up the middle order.

While talking about the balance of the team, Australian star Matthew Hayden said, “Excellent balance for Team India. Three (four) spinners in the squad, which I think is a good strategy for the West Indian conditions, not so sure about that up in the Americas. A superb and experienced batting lineup, left and right-hand combination at the top, Kohli at three,”

T Natarajan misses being a part of the T20 World Cup squad. While talking about his absence, Hayden said, “Rohit Sharma as a leader – well settled, well organized, gone through many campaigns before. Fast bowlers in Bumrah and Siraj, I think strong selections. Would have liked to probably see a Natarajan, someone at the death that could come in and deliver like he has done in the IPL. However, overall very balanced and very good squad.”

On India’s Strengths:

In the last ODI World Cup at home, Team India has shown amazing class. But unfortunately, they didn’t lift the trophy, even after the heartbreaking defeat. Team India showcased an amazing effort in previous matches and geared up well for the tournament. While talking about this, Hayden Said, “Its strength is its world-class innovative batters. When you look at the squad, you think of Suryakumar Yadav, you think of Jaiswal – they do stuff differently than players of any other generation or any other talent. The X-factor will be Rishabh Pant. He is also a huge bonus.”

While Analyzing more over India’s squad, he focused on all-around strength which depends on Ravindra Jadeja and and Axar Patel. He said, “Your spinning options are very good. Having wrist-spinners in your team along with Jaddu (Ravindra Jadeja) and Axar Patel, who probably won’t play, that just lends weight to the fact that you have got spinning all-rounders. That gives you depth of batting, and you have got the best fast bowler in this format in Jasprit Bumrah.”

Team India is all set to start their T20 World Cup journey on 5th June against Ireland. But their biggest match is scheduled for June 9th. On that day, India and Pakistan will lock horns in New York. Fans are anticipating to witness the biggest rivalry once again.
