Right then, that's it from the coverage of this game. USA and Bangladesh will meet again for the final match of this series. A chance where USA can complete a whitewash over a Test-playing nation. Do tune in on 25th May 2024 to find out. The first ball will be at 8.30 pm IST (3 pm GMT), but as you'll know you can join us early for the build-up. Unitl then, take care and goodbye.
Monank Patel, the victorious skipper is in for a chat. He starts by praising the bowlers, for the way they bowled in the Powerplay and then death overs as well. States that they are high on confidence and it will surely help them leading into the World Cup.
Najmul Hossain Shanto, the captain of Bangladesh is in for a chat. He starts by saying that he is very disappointed by this defeat. Informs that losing wickets in the middle overs costed them the game. Accepts that they did not play well and hopes to come out better in the final match of the series. Ends by saying that they need to change their mindset, rather than working on the skills.
Ali Khan wins the Player of the Match award for his match-winning performance. He starts by saying that a lot of credit goes to the rest of the bowlers. States that they kept taking wickets at regular intervals which kept pushing Bangladesh under pressure. Praises Saurabh Netravalkar for the way he bowled the penultimate over. His goal was to back his strength and try to get wickets.
Stay tuned for the presentation.
Still Bangladesh were certainly in the game, until Shakib Al Hasan was out there in the middle. He played a valuable knock of 30 runs, but unfortunately could not find much support from the rest of the pack, and eventually all the burden came on to him. The way USA pulled things back in the final 5 overs was incredible The bowlers made the most of the conditions and pulled a rabbit out of the hat here with a historic win. Shadley van Schalkwyk set the tone in the 15th over for a high finish, Ali Khan built on it really well in the 18th over when he struck twice in three deliveries to put USA in front. Ali Khan stood out with the ball in hand with his three-wicket haul.
Eventually, USA stunned everyone, yet again with some quality bowling. It was Saurabh Netravalkar who set the tone with the new ball as he got rid of Soumya Sarkar on a golden duck here. Then Jessy Singh chipped in with another wicket inside the Powerplay by getting the better of the set batter in Tanzid Hasan. Since then though, Bangladesh hardly gave USA another opportunity as Najmul Hossain Shanto and Towhid Hridoy forged a solid partnership and stabled the situation for their team, although who knew what was going to follow right. A huge mix-up between these two batters led to a unwanted run-out and this might've put some tension back in the Bangladesh dressing room.
After losing the first game, Bangladesh could not afford to lose this game at all. They won the toss earlier, chose to field, keeping in mind the overhead conditions and did turn up with the ball in hand, as they were successful in keeping the opposition to an under-par score of just 144. On any given day, one would think this is an easy chase for Bangladesh, given the quality of their squad. Although, after looking at their performance, one might even say that they were just over confident coming into this series, and that is never good is any sport.
WHAT JUST HAPPENED HERE! USA have done it again. They have beaten a full strength Bangladesh side, that came to USA to warm-up for the big event that is just around the corner, but who knew they would get barbecued here. An unforgettable moment in the history of USA cricket. This is a huge win for the hosts, as they take an unassailable lead in this T20I series.

OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! Ali Khan, a name to remember for sure. USA have done it. Ali Khan rectifies his mistake on the very next delivery and goes straight, and full, outside off. Rishad Hossain comes across the line and tries to ramp it away but only manages to nick it behind to the keeper. Monank Patel gathers it cleanly. Khan makes the appeal and the umpire raises his finger straightaway. USA win the game by 6 runs.

FOUR! Ali Khan errs in his length and pays the price this time. A bumper, on middle. Rishad Hossain rides the bounce and pulls it towards deep mid-wicket without any control. The ball lands in the gap and heads into the boundary.

BYE! It is a slower one, and fuller one, outside off. Mustafizur Rahman looks to push it away but misses. Still Rishad Hossain calls for a single here because he wants to be on strike. Bye taken. 11 runs needed in 5 balls.
Ali Khan to bowl the final over here.

Uff! This is close. Saurabh Netravalkar is like a sniper. He goes full, attacking the stumps as well. Mustafizur Rahman respects him by showing the full face of the bat and defending the ball back to the bowler.
Mustafizur Rahman is the last man in.

OUT! TIMBER! WOW! This is huge. Chants of USA going all across the park. Saurabh Netravalkar with his second wicket here. It is way fuller, around off. Islam makes some room and tries to hit it through the line. It catches the inside edge and crashes into the stumps. USA now one wicket away from winning this series. Who would've thought. This is incredible, if they take it home.
