Australia wrapped up the five-match T20 series against India. Now, their next mission is a test series against Pakistan. That will be David Warner’s last series. After the Test Championship Final, David Warner announced his retirement from the longest format of cricket. He announced he would be playing his last test at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
Former Australian bowler, Mitchell Johnson lashes out on Warner after this. He questioned how a player can decide his farewell even when he is not in good form. After that, he reflected on David Warner’s connection to the sandpaper scandal. After that matter, Warner was suspended from International cricket for one year. He also questioned Warner’s selection in the test squad over the poor form in recent days.

After this attack by the former Australian bowler, David Warner’s manager James Erskine came with a reply. He explained that matter. He said, “Let me tell you, anyone can get a headline. The fact is (Warner’s selection) is just logical. The three (replacement) candidates will be (Matthew) Renshaw, (Cameron) Bancroft – who has played pretty well in the Sheffield Shield – and (Marcus) Harris. After a successful campaign in the World Cup, Australia will concentrate on red-ball cricket. The first test will played from December 14 to December 18 at the Optus Stadium. The second test will be played from December 26 to 30 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The last test will be played from January 3 to 7 at the Sydney Cricket Ground. With this test, David Warner will bid a goodbye to the test cricket.
