Kuldeep Yadav Back from UAE, Source Reveals

Reportedly Kuldeep Yadav is back from the UAE after sustaining an injury. The left-arm wrist spinner from Kolkata Knight Riders is likely to miss the entire domestic season.

A source revealed, “Yes, we got the information that Kuldeep sustained a nasty knee injury during a practice session in UAE. Apparently while fielding, he twisted his knee and it was really bad at that point.” Kuldeep who recently has gone through an operation will take at least 4-6 months for recovery.

The source opined,

“Knee injuries are generally bad. It’s a very long process from starting to walk and then getting strength back through intense physiotherapy sessions at the NCA, followed by light intensity training and finally starting with net sessions.” Kuldeep may not be ready for matches by the time Ranji Trophy ends, according to the BCCI source.

Kuldeep Yadav who has been going through a tough phase and hasn’t played any KKR match this season, posted a picture with Brendon McCullum, the KKR coach to wish him on the latter’s birthday on Monday. The source said,

“That’s obviously an old photograph. Kuldeep has come back in India. If I am not wrong, he is already done with his surgery.”
