Kate Wilmott, Qiana Joseph, and Chedean Nation Included in West Indies Squad for Pakistan Tour

In a recent development, Kate Wilmott has received her maiden call-up to the West Indies women’s squad, while Qiana Joseph and Chedean Nation have been recalled for the upcoming white-ball tour to Pakistan. The squad selection comes after their successful performances in domestic tournaments.

Qiana Joseph impressed with her performance in the Women’s Super50 Cup, where she took eight wickets in five matches. Chedean Nation, on the other hand, showcased her skills in the Women’s T20 Blaze, taking six wickets in five games.

However, Djenaba Joseph, Ashmini Munisar, and Shabika Gajnab, who were part of the squad for the Australia tour last year, have missed out this time.

Ann Browne-John, the Lead Selector for West Indies‘ Women’s cricket, emphasized the importance of the upcoming series against Pakistan. She stated, “The upcoming series against Pakistan is extremely important for the team as they return to international competition after almost six months, the last series being against Australia.”

The West Indies women’s squad will assemble in Dubai for a one-week training camp starting April 6. They will play three ODIs, which are part of the ODI Women’s Championship, followed by five T20Is. All matches will be held at the National Stadium in Karachi.
