As Punjab would like to come back to winning ways, for Hyderabad the challenge is to secure the maiden win of the season. Shahrukh Khan was one of the most exciting purchases for Punjab Kings in this IPL auction. The PBKS management later revealed how the youngster was in their wish list for the IPL 2021 auction. Shahrukh Khan gave a glimpse of his caliber in the limited opportunities. In the first match, he came to bat at 5 and remains unbeaten with 4-ball 6. The next game of PKBS was a low-scoring one. When the entire top order collapsed he ended as the highest run-scorer with 36-ball 47, in a losing cause albeit. In the third match also he scores 15* off 5. In this crucial match, Punjab could think of promoting Khan in the batting order so that he gets more time to settle down and then power his way to a big inning with his lusty hitting.

Jonny Bairstow
Jonny Bairstow was expected to have a good IPL after his good showings against the Indian cricket team in the limited-overs leg. He continued his form and started to perform from the first match of Sunrisers Hyderabad. Bairstow scored 55 off 40 balls in his first match of IPL 2021 against Kolkata Knight Riders. As the opening pair of Wriddhiman Saha and David Warner did not really work out for SRH, Bairstow replaced Saha in the third match. He scored 22-ball 43 with four sixes. Currently, Bairstow is the leading run-scorer of the side with 110 runs at a strike rate above 146. If Sunrisers Hyderabad want to stay alive in the race, Bairstow should be a key player to provide them explosive starts during the Powerplay in the matches to come.
