Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians will meet for the 17th match of IPL 2021. Mumbai Indians are aiming to secure a win against the inconsistent Punjab Kings who have lost three out of four games so far.
KL Rahul is leading the most runs table of Punjab Kings right now. he scored a brilliant 91 off just 50 balls in the tournament opener for PBKS which led the way for their maiden win of the season. It was his fiery batting including seven fours and five sixes that set the tone of the match. In the second game, KL Rahul was dismissed for just five runs and once the openers were gone within first three overs, the middle order could not show any resistance. The next match saw KL Rahul adding 61 off 51 balls and along with Mayank Agarwal providing a solid base to the side. It was largely the brilliance of Shikhar Dhawan that won the match almost singlehandedly against PBKS and chased down 197 runs successfully. Fourth fixture was another low scoring one for Punjab as the batting order saw a collapse again. Even though Agarwal got few runs, they lacked a big innings.

Rahul Chahar has already taken eight wickets in four matches at an average of 14.75. He has been bowling at an economy of 7.37. At the same venue, he registered a 4-wicket haul against Kolkata Knight Riders and gave Mumbai Indians the first win of the edition. In the first match against Royal Challengers Bangalore, Mumbai Indians could set a target of mere 159 runs and Chahar gave away runs at an economy above 10. But he made a strong comeback in the second match. He ran through the top and middle order of Kolkata Knight Riders and helped Mumbai restrict Kolkata below 145. Since then he has been a consistent performer. The next match saw him picking up three wickets against Sunrisers Hyderabad conceding 19 runs in his allotted four overs. Mumbai will be playing their fifth match of IPL 2021 in the same venue against Punjab Kings and so Rahul Chahar can be expected to contribute with another good spell.
