IPL Points Table 2023: Updated After SRH vs DC Match 34

Tonight, the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad witnessed an intense battle between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals in Match 34 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. Delhi Capitals’ captain, David Warner, won the toss and elected to bat first, but his team struggled to score runs and only managed to post a modest total of 144 runs in their allotted 20 overs.

Sunrisers Hyderabad put up an excellent bowling performance to restrict Delhi Capitals’ batters from scoring freely. In the 8th over of the first innings, Washington Sundar’s brilliant spell resulted in three crucial wickets for the Hyderabad team. Bhuvneshwar Kumar was also impressive as he gave away almost nothing in his four overs.

Chasing the target, Mayank Agarwal provided a solid foundation for Sunrisers Hyderabad. However, the Capitals’ bowlers fought back strongly and made it challenging for the Hyderabad team to score runs freely. Despite the pressure, Sunrisers Hyderabad managed to take the game to the last over, with 13 runs required for victory.

In the end, it was Mukesh Kumar’s exceptional bowling performance that sealed the win for Delhi Capitals. He remained calm under pressure and executed his yorkers to perfection, conceding only five runs in the last over and securing a seven-run win for his team. However, after today’s game, there are no changes in the Points Table. Delhi are still at the bottom, despite the win. Whereas, SRH are still in the 9th spot.
