IPL 2024 Purple Cap: Updated after Royal Challengers Bengaluru vs Punjab Kings Match No. 6

In the IPL’s sixth match, Royal Challengers Bengaluru squared off against Punjab Kings, aiming to bounce back from their defeat to Chennai Super Kings. After winning the toss, Faf du Plessis opted to bowl first. Mohammed Siraj got the first success for the team. He dismissed Jonny Bairstow. Glenn Maxwell took the crucial wicket of Prabhismaran Singh. After that, he also dismissed Shikhar Dhawan. He ended up taking 2 wickets in 29 runs. Yash Dayal and Alzarri Joseph took 1 wicket each. They stopped the opponent on 176 runs. 

While bowling in the second innings, Punjab Kings bowlers struggled. In front of Virat Kohli’s excellence, they struggled too. Kagiso Rabada strikes first. He dismissed skipper Faf du Plessis. After that, he dismissed Cameron Green too. Harshal Patel took the big wicket of Virat Kohli. Harpreet Brar also bowled well. He ended up taking 2 wickets in 13 runs. But the RCB batters snatched the game and won the match by 4 wickets.
